Yes. The dolphins at Sha'ab El Erg are completely wild spinner dolphins that choose to rest and play in this sheltered reef – there are no cages or captive animals.
Yes, it is safe for children who can swim. Life jackets and snorkeling equipment are provided. Non-swimmers can watch from the boat.
Dolphin sightings are very common but not 100% guaranteed as they are wild animals. We always head to the best reef for snorkeling if dolphins are not present.
