Abu Dabbab, also known as “Turtle Bay” or “Dugong Bay”, is one of the most famous snorkeling sites in Marsa Alam. This wide sandy bay is home to green sea turtles, rich seagrass meadows and vibrant coral reefs, with crystal‑clear, shallow water that is perfect for snorkeling.
On this full‑day trip from Hurghada, you will travel by air‑conditioned vehicle to Abu Dabbab Bay, where you can swim alongside sea turtles in their natural habitat and have a chance (not guaranteed) to see the rare dugong that sometimes visits the bay to feed on seagrass.
We pick you up early from your hotel in Hurghada in an air‑conditioned vehicle for the scenic drive south along the Red Sea coast to Marsa Alam.
On arrival you receive your snorkeling equipment and a safety briefing from your guide before heading to the water from the beach.
Guided snorkeling over the seagrass area where sea turtles usually graze. Your guide will help you spot turtles and other marine life while respecting distance and nature.
Enjoy lunch at the beach restaurant and some time to relax on the sand, take photos or swim close to the shore.
Another guided snorkeling session, with more time to look for turtles and, if you are lucky, the dugong that sometimes visits Abu Dabbab Bay.
In the afternoon you leave Abu Dabbab and drive back to Hurghada, arriving back at your hotel in the early evening.
