Use this annual reference to compare months before choosing your dates. It separates air temperature, water temperature and daylight because a warm afternoon does not necessarily mean warm water or a long sightseeing day.

Air and sea figures are from Climate-Data; air data are labeled 1991-2021. Day length is from Climates to Travel. Daylight and sunshine are different measurements. The sources differ in their climate datasets, so this table uses one air/sea series rather than mixing averages.
How to read the seasonal pattern
Winter has lower air averages and cooler evenings. Sea temperatures reach their low point later than the start of winter. Spring warms on land before the sea reaches its summer peak. Summer has the highest air averages, and autumn can retain warmer water after daytime heat begins to ease.
Match the weather to the activity
For island and reef outings, consider wind and sea conditions as well as temperature. For Cairo, Luxor or desert activities, consider heat exposure and travel time. A monthly average is not a booking guarantee, a daily maximum or a safety assessment. Use a forecast near departure and follow the operator's instructions.
Rain, wind and packing
The climate is dry, but a low average rainfall does not mean disruption is impossible. The climate sources also note wind and occasional dust. Pack layers for winter evenings and deck time, and sun protection throughout the year. Keep a buffer for weather-sensitive excursions rather than planning the only boat day at the end of your stay.
Questions About Hurghada Weather by Month
Which month has the highest sea average in this table?
August, at 28.9°C in the cited Climate-Data series. That is not a guarantee for an individual swimming spot or date.
Does daylight mean hours of sunshine?
No. The dawn-to-dusk reference measures the length of the day, not cloud-free sunshine.
