Start with the children's swimming confidence, daily routine and tolerance for travel. A family-friendly label does not mean every activity is suitable for every child.
Beach time and boat travel
Orange Bay and Paradise Island are full outings of approximately 7-8 hours. Both combine boat travel, beach time and snorkeling, but the current Paradise program also lists two snorkeling stops and a banana boat ride. Check the actual package rather than treating the two as identical.
Tell the team if a child cannot swim confidently. Ask about supervision, equipment and remaining aboard or enjoying the beach without snorkeling. The Dolphin House page says non-swimmers can remain on the boat; sightings are not guaranteed.
Choose travel time carefully
Cairo is listed as 16-18 hours and Luxor as 14-15 hours. Those are demanding coach days, not short add-ons after the pool. Desert Safari runs approximately 15:00-19:30, but participation requirements must be confirmed. A flexible city or hotel day may fit a young child's routine better.
